I have no comment on size, but I am running the M7RR on my 18 in stock sizes. I have wanted to try these for awhile since so many people love them.
I have not had any issues but they are a little harder than I like. I am considering trying some S22s or maybe giving the power RS another shot. Something softer/less road focused would be awesome but too many tradeoffs for me.
Don't get me wrong the M7rr have held up well, just not Loving them. Have like 2200 miles on them and they have plenty of life left.
I've run the Metzler M7 RR before on my SV650 and really liked it. I'm sure it would do great on the track and mountain twisties. A 200/55 rear for your bike is excessive and you won't gain any advantage of it, especially on the street. Run a 190/55 rear if you're on a 1000, which is what I assume you're riding based on your pic.
Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get tires are?
I found a set of front read tires for my 06 cbr1000rr on Hexautoparts for $133 with free shipping but just looking to get some cheaper?
Also wondering if anyone have experience with purchasing tires online and having a local dealership...
Stock rim, 190/55 R17 Q3+ (almost 500 miles on tires) clearances.
Right side = ½ inch off swing arm
Left side = 1 13/15 of swing arm
(Tire to inside swing arm both sides)
Overall 7⅝ by eye
Core moto apex 6 wheel, 200/55 R17 Metzler Sportec M7( 0 miles) clearances
I can't remember the brand. The only bike build shop in town worth anything (does AMA builds) can't keep them on the shelves. I've been running Q3, and recently Q3+ 190/55. I do have the hugger, but not the chain guard. As stated from shop "comparable to Michelin pilot tires"
