Need help...Owners manual

862 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Red Lightning
As I bought the bike in Korea it of course only came with a Korean manual.

Was wondering if anyone could be so kind an scan and send me some info like how to adjust clock, shift light (does it have one?....flame away guys :) ) and any other paricilars you feel I should know about. I don't need the basic info such as break in, maintenance schedule etc....I have a pretty good feel for that.

I have the service manual, but the adjustme nt at the cluster is not covered there.

Cheers

Anyone ?

....if not, could someone just give me a short heads up on how to adjust the clock?
I know we're not supposed to tell people to use the search button but JEEZE! It's there for a reason. If people would use it the site wouldn't be all whore up with the same question seven thousand times.

Sorry. Rant over.

First off what bike do you have? I don't know that there is a difference between '04-07 and the '08-'09 but I don't know that there isn't either. Second do a search!

Yeah your'e right....should have thought about the search thing.

Thanks for the info.

Got the service manual Deathace already, but couldn't find the adjustment procedure there....did I miss it?
Manual

Clock:
1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
2. Press and hold control button B (bottom button) for more than 2 seconds. The clock will be set in the adjust mode with the hour display blinking.
3. To set the hour, press control button A (top button) until the desired hour is displayed.
4. Press control button B. The minute display will start blinking.

Presetting the Shift Indicator
1. Press and hold control button A (top button). then turn on the ignition switch. Keep control button A pressed in until the initial display is completed. The tachometer nedle moves to its preset position.
2. Each time you press control button A, the tachometer neddle will move by an increment of 500 rpm. By pushing and holding control button A for more than 1 second the tachometer neddle will move by an increment of 1000.

When the needle exceeds the allowable range it will automatically return to 2000 rpm. After completing the selection press control button B (bottom button) and proceed to the selecting the display for the indicator.

To select the indicator display:
You may choose from 9 different indicator displays. Press control button A repeatedly to view available displays. Once you reach the display you want press control button B. Then turn off the ignition switch to register your selection.

The displays range from bright lighting to dark lighting, slow blinking to fast blinking.

As far as all the other options I only use the Odometer A to determine when I will need gas. All the other features such as instantaneous gas mileage, average gas mileage, etc. I don't use. Not sure of what value they are. To cycle through the gas options use the top A button.

Let me know if you need anything else..................Bob
