. . . HRC Racing Kit here we come :)
Made my dealer enquiries today: "The little 600 rocket ship may be with us summer 2021, so I’ve been told."

As with most things Honda, the word 'may' is inserted to prevent any definitive info!!

Since you (USA) already have these in your market, you might get them ahead of us! :D Ours discontinued in 2016 because of Euro emissions regs, but we do have a CBR650RR 4 cylinder.

Any info on specs, and if it will be no more the underwhelming step child of the 600cc category? :D

No specs yet as I can find, but I sincerely believe this'll be a looker rather than a goer!:D

It's said to be the last of the 600s, so in my view Honda won't be throwing heaps of money into it.

That just looks like the current bike with some minor updates. I’d be in if it was like the 1000SP but if it’s just as slight update of the 2013 I’m all set. Hoping for an all new 600 but not holding my breath.

Actually, if the rumors are right, it will have an IMU, cornering ABS, etc. If I am not mistaken, it will be the only 600cc with an IMU, and this will do it for me. Never understood why, at the price range, of almost 13K, 600's are left behind in technology. And if not for IMU, for me it is a huge omission you cannot get a 600 with an up/down QS even as a factory upgrade. Stating your machine is a track weapon, well, that is being short on amo.

As HRCfan1 said, it does look like the current bike with some minor updates. The back half looks the same as the current bike. The front half with updated fairings and tank cover, small winglets, black fork tubes instead of gold tubes, updated front LED light cluster. The new dashboard display looks like it came from the SC77 model. The front indicator signal lights are behind the upper fairing instead of mirror integration or on the side fairings.

I have also read that the specifications for the Japanese model will be updated on Friday 21 August on Honda Japan's website.

Ooh. That's one thing I didn't notice. Seems a backward step when the mirror/indicator combination is used on the bigger bike.

I'm expecting it's just a refresh for the reasons mentioned above. Change the plastics, use LED headlights, add some electronics...and the rest more or less the same. If it does come back to europe-land, and the required engineering to meet emissions standards was significant -- maybe they did do some major changes. I'm just not expecting it with declining sales in the segment.

I'd love to have one to match the RR-R scheme, but I've only put 1000 miles on my 600RR so not going to upgrade it.

That's my intention also. But if they price it too high, and in the same bracket as the Panigale 955, it would be far too much for just a 'refresh' bike.

Sometimes I think Honda should get in on the act with Limited Editions with numbered yokes, in much the same manner as Triumph (Daytona 765) and many of the MV Agusta specials. THEN, I'd be a starter for sure!!

Thanks for sharing.

Good to see Honda leading the way with recycling.

Still love the bike though. But is it the bike or the paint? Must be the paint cos I had no interest in the current model.

My inside info is its the essentially an SC77 version of the CBR600.
This is Honda's new MO going forward deploying the throttle by wire system across the entire motorcycle range.
To debut the new electronics throttle by wire system worked into the the outgoing model then followup in 36 months with complete revamp.

I was also told to expect prices to leap skyward as each model ramps up.
