As the title states. I currently have a 19 SP1 with just a slip on. It was dynotuned for the just the slip on. Question is, is it safe to install my headers without running to get a tune immediately? Seems my tuner is a bit backed up and I don’t really want to wait another month to install my Akra headers. I’m assuming the bike will run lean after installing the headers. Is it safe? TIA

All I can say is it's a pretty bad idea. I'd be excited to throw them on too but I think the patience will be worth the peace of mind. Leaning out excessively is one of the worst things that can happen to an engine.

IMO the slip on opens the exhaust and requires a tune to be safe, adding the headers after that should be safe enough, especially if you don't go full throttle for too long of periods until you can use an O2 sensor reading to verify you are not too lean. The ECU also has a bit of leeway to hold an AFR.
