new member question

Hi I am new to the site and I currentley ride a 2006 gsxr 1000 and I want to get a new bike, I am a suzuki fan but I have made the dicision to get the new liter king I bet you could guess what that is. any advice on the bike or what kind of performance difference thier is between my bike and the new cbr any advice would be great. I want to know if thier is a big difference between the two, should i just keep what i have or get the new cbr 1000.

I want to answer this for ya. I had an 07 K71000, and i currently have an 08 ZX-10R and i am selling it and am getting an 06 Blade if that tells ya anything, you will feel right at home on the 1000RR. The gsx-r and the CBR are alot alike, but to me the CBR feels better, for my own preference.

EDIT: Why do you hate kawasaki's ? lol

Your bike is pretty new. Unless you have a lot of cash burning a hole in your pocket I would just keep your bike.

Spend your money on upgrades and trackdays.

The Honda is a great bike.....but you already have a great bike so why switch? Your call tho

+3....apples to apples performance wise ALL the big bikes are pretty damn close. And unless your ricky road racer im sure your bike will get bored with you long before you get bored with it.

I don't like kawasaki because I have owned three of them klr 650 zx6r and a prarie 650 all of them had mass problems so I don't like the manufacturer, nothing against kawasaki owners I just had no luck with them.

Fair Enough, as i am getting rid of mine due to a couple issues but nothing regarding the motor or anything, but there is a terrible throttle vibration, and a bit stiff to ride long distances. Plus the ol lady dont like riding on it because its "uncomfortable".

I wish lol. The pass seat on the CBR is comfortable also:thumbsup:

I didnt know the cbr came with a passenger seat...

at least thats what i keep tellin my girl when she wants a ride! :go: Yer lady will like the padding on the cbr seat. Mine aint bitched yet 'bout it. :thumbsup:

Thats what im hoping, i have someone coming to look at my ZX-10 today, hopefully they take it with them when they leave and i can buy my cbr woot.:thumbsup:

I have heard good things about the zx10 I have never rode one but I hear that they have a lot of scary power. I rode a 2004 cbr 1000 and I thought that it was a little too tame for my taste anyway good luck with the sale, what color cbr are you getting

Well the ZX-10s power is amazing above 7-8 grand, but the low end range is very lacking, i know there is some things that can be done about it to get it back but i really dont wanna mess with it. The CBR i am trying to get is Yellow and Blue woot.

almost the same thing with the gixxer you have to get above 5 to 6 grand before it starts to tickle your nuts but I also heard that the new cbr's low end is the same way with a very strong mid and high range. I guess that is inherit with inline 4 engines need revs to create power.
