I sold my 600RR to get a Ducati 749 but I have read that they are having some real problems with those bikes stalling when coming to a stop. I don't want to spend all that money and have problems but now I am considering buying a 1000rr. The 600rr was a great bike I just wanted something that didn't wine so much at high speeds. It felt like I was pushing the thing around 80 mph. I know everyone is going to say go with the Honda but has anyone heard anything about these or any other problems with the 749 or 999?

I heard something along those lines but I wouldn't doubt they were isolated incidents. A few of the new bikes have had issues but then so have some of the Japanese manufacturers. Personally I'd give the Ducati a try once you can confirm the issues are systemic.

They are hugely expensive and not nearly as beautiful as a 748/996/998.
