power limited to 100hp, ‘12

Hi to all,

i just bought a '12 blade from France and it has a power limit restriction to ~100hp /70kw.
behavior is really nasty, top speed is 250kmh at 10k rpm in 6th and it won't go any further. i can reach the redline in 1st gear but power delivery does not seem right

anyone knows how to derestrict it? (no rubber restriction to intake in airbox)...feels like it's ecu restricted not mechanical.

i have found online that there is a power restrictor kit to 70kw, and it consists of a small bracket that limits the throttle body and i will check out if i have one installed or not.

hi, the best way is to put the bike on a dyno and do full analysis of the fuel/tps and Timing maps, i have the same model, also the power was getting restricted, the problem was the fuel pump was not giving sufficient pressure, i replace it with a after market pump, got better acceleration and smooth power delivery, some times the micro dirt particles pass thru the fuel filter mesh and into the pump, restricting performance, also do check ur injectors, both lower and upper, at 6000rpm, the upper injectors are suppose to work, if the pressure drops, the performance will drop

thank you for the tips!
unfortunatelly i don't have a bike dyno in my area...but i can check the fuel pump pressure and injectors.
tomorrow i have another visit at the Honda dealer, hopefully they can check again and flash the OEM map and see what's what
Put it on the Dyno and have them re-map it and remove all the soft restrictions that are set in place they all saved in the ecu unit.

official reply from 2 Honda HQ (Hungary and France) is that the ECU cannot be rewritten with the factory map. the homologation department in France had the bike detuned to 100hp and that's it.

solution is buy new ecu with key, immobilizer, ignition switch, fuel gas cap, pillion cover lock and throw it on the bike.
also if i were to go to a dealership they will have to send the bike to be rehomologated , new papers and so on...
These guys are stone walling you go on your facebook or some local forum and find fireblade groups these are your europian restriction

that is some new information, can the ECU be re-written by woolich software, maybe the dealers are also following the EU procedures, try with Woolich log box, u can do it urself, u can downlaod some maps from their website, and apply them

on the other hand, do u see any additional immobilizer put in the bike, any physical device

i've searched the air-rams for smaller diameter on the intake - no restriction.
i've checked the throttle body - no restriction in travel and in diameter.
i've done a partial flapper mod on the air intake - just removed the vacuum lines from the valves and it runs a bit better. accelerates faster and reaches 270-280kmh compared to 250kmh but the last part is very sluggish.
fuel consumption is a bit high compared with an 08' 1k.

i think ur bike restriction is fuel and timings

i removed the flapper spring and vacuum lines, yes, this improved the acceleration, but the real difference came after i tweaked some fuel in woolich software, i still havent touched the ignition maps, the guys at woolich recommended to tweak the timings only on dyno.

i also tried a 10% higher fuel pressure pump and fuel pressure regulator, that gave me much better acceleration, the bike wants to pull to red line in every gear, with this aftermarket pump the bike sound changed, the K&N filter did improve the acceleration, but now i switched back to oem filter, the aftermarket pump died within 6 months

with the oem pump this was not happening, the bike would not reach red line.

a mechanic in honda workshop recommended to put small amount of oil in petrol, this will do some lubrication to fuel pump, also he said once u open the pump assembly, put some lubricant in the fuel pump, he was using wd40, but i still havent tried it
