please do a bike build series on YouTube. You might be surprised how many of us want to watch everything being put into the bike and watch every step.

Just some more eye candy... or yeah and the official weight :)

377lb with 1 gallon of fuel.

This picture is 2 years apart - Marc 5 2018 and March 7 2020

Now onto the eye candy...

the bike is looking the part, when is the big track shakedown?
The bike may look and be the part, but the owner/rider isn't LOL - that being said, track debut is coming up soon.

Just had a lengthy chat with the Ten Kate engineers again and they reminded me about the warmup regimen etc. etc. I guess the bike is now a full on "needs an entire performance just to do a few laps" unit :):devilish:

Yet more custom fabrication required.

Stock thermostat opens at 82*C, the HRC thermostat opens at 62*C --- the Redbull engine is "just say no to thermostats!".

The thermostat to water pump bypass junction at the water pump was already capped off. The engine came with instructions to cap off the thermostat housing outlet and then reassemble without the thermostat. This allows water to always circulate through the radiator.

I am going to adopt this method for all race engines we build from now on.

Hopefully the WSBK SP2 Built in a Shed story and eye candy can help take folks minds off the real seriousness going on around us - espcecially you Californian folks in quarantune.. Stay safe and enjoy the ride!
*
The Redbull motor on full display. Weight loss vs stock motor as well as the super aggressive port work!
*
As the bike moves up a class to full WSBK, weight mitigation gets harder.
*
SuperBike radiator is bigger and heavier vs SuperStock radiator but SuperStock oil cooler is heavier than the SuperBike one; heat exchanger ends up a wash, but Ti engine bolts help a little bit more.

Sometimes you just need say no to CAD and go pencil & cardboard to get things done 🤓
*
Looks like lower H2O radiator mount was expecting Akrapovic not Spark headers, so old school pencil & cardboard prototyped custom bracketry needed.
*
Getting close! Coolant in, Safety Wire twisted and Ten Kate SBK HRC ECU mounted!
*
At just 6lb, the Ti tank is free weight loss available to all SC77’s.

⚡🚀🏍🔥👌😎😬☄🤫😳🤪
*
Now to calibrate QS/Autoblipper and get the bike on the dyno.
