So, just how much would you pay to make your stock calipers and master cylinder stop your bike harder than you ever thought it could?

Sure, replace the lines with Stainless lines. That is a huge start.

But how much would you pay to make an even more dramatic change to your braking than stainless lines?

Pricey, they are, but Vesrah SRJL Brake Pads, available in two compounds, SRJL8 or SRJL17 depending on if you want linear braking with progressively harder braking based on input, or greater initial bite with continuous linear power, are worth the asking price and then some.

I have tried various HH pads and enjoyed decent improvements over stock, for a moderate price, but these things stop the bike so damn hard you will question whether or not you just hit a wall, yet the braking is very predictable and does exactly what you ask it to with simple modulation of the lever. Additionally, they require no bed in whatsoever. They are reported to last longer than stock pads as well, and do require that you clean your rotors really well prior to use. Preferably bead blasted, however, maroon scotchbrite pads, followed by green scotchbrite pads and then a good quality brake parts cleaner will do just fine. (Thanks for the tip LDH!)

These brakes rock! I highly recommend them!

Downside- once you have these you will never be able to go back to normal pads, as they would pale in comparison and you would hate going back to the braking that you had before.

Of course, these Brakes can be had by contacting Brad. Send a pm to lexus rx.

Will this need to be done on aftermarket rotors such as Gafler Wave rotors that I will be getting from Santa?

Jim is telling the truth. I love them pads, I picked up a Set at Barber, one of the Nesba Track days. Even there they seem kind of pricey but I am glad that I have them.

funny thing about Vesrah pads is that they are cheap as, here in Australia.
I recently bought some SRLJL's for my SP1 and they were $98 Aussie dollars...about $75 US dollars for a full set of fronts. I believe it's the first time in the history of motorcycling that we actually have something cheaper here in Aus.
By the way, great pads....but the rotors do need a good cleaning after a track day or two, but that seems to be the same with most pads.
