That would not be a problem, keep the sp models in mind they have the Öhlins suspension which you can set easy
Hi what do folks here say about someone who is 165cm or 5foot 5" being able to ride a 2012 cbr1000rr anniversary model with stock suspension. Is it to short or not ?????. I do have a pare of decent work boots I use when I ride my Harley to work , maybe for around town they could make the difference up that is if 5/5 is to short without having to play with suspension which I was hoping I wouldn't have to do as I've heard it's not to good to do on sport bikes . Be good to know what's other think

Thanks for the reply not to many sp models around where I am . I have got my eye on a 2012 annaversery model with only 11000km on it . I just haven't had the chance to sit on it yet as it's currently 300 km from where I live and there are none around town that I know of that I could climb on and have a feel for it . I do have a decent set of work boots that add a fare bit of height that I use on my Harley when I ride to work . If 5/5 is to short they might get me out of trouble without playing with suspension cause lowing is something I don't want to do if I can help it .
You'll be fine.

Short and stalky gang checking in. I'm 5'5 170 lbs with a 30'' inseam. My CBR is setup around an inch taller than the 2012 and it's still fine. I can tip toe both feet or get the ball of one foot down which is more than enough, no need to lower.
Your length is enough at 5.5 fine you will be fine

I'm 5'4" and raise all my bikes to 32" seat-height. Gives more ground-clearance for cornering.

Some helpful tips to manage taller-than-you bikes. Don't try to sit on bike and get both feet on ground. Extremely unstable and will teeter-totter to one side and fall over!
