All right boys and girls, I had an idea for finding the rest of these freaking things.
I generated 350 RR-R vins and started hunting them down with Bing (yes, bing. F' Google). the first bunch of searches found #4, #6 , and 8
#6,
JH2SC8212MK000006 ,was listed by ridewnowso.com. I said was because it's not there any more but Bing found it and I could see the listing under the "Cached" option!
#4, JH2SC8219MK000004, was listed by ridenowsurprise.com (arizona) again, was listed, but still in Bing's Cache.
I think we can assume the bike actually existed if listed by a dealer, no? I don't know.
I don't have time to search all of these. Let's do some crowed sourcing here and divide the work up.
If you're interested, take a RANDOM block of 10, search, and post your results. I'll added them to the table.
The blocks are divided in 10s.
0-9 (I did this already)
10-19
20-29
etc. you get the idea.
let's not all start at the beginning. go take a random block.
Once you post your findings, I'll update the table AND, remove the block from the list.
For crying out loud, when you post, put it in a table like this so I can just copy/paste and not have to type a ton of entries.
#<serial number> | Country (USA) | State | Owner (who bought or shop listing it) | who found it, your name if you like | any notes you have |
the way i did it below
#4 | USA | Arizona | ridenowsurprise | | appears to be sold |
#6 | USA | CA | ridenowsoca | | appears to be sold |
#8 | USA | VA | Timbrook Honda | | appears to be sold |
