(y) I didn't notice that before. I'm assuming you ditch it in an effort to minimize stiction?
Those outer seals have more friction than the inner seals which is why most race-only forks do away with them.

The entire Ohlins FGR lineup is missing dust seals. You can't even install one if you wanted to because the retaining ring is right up against the lip of the fork lower. Have changed oil a couple times and can confirm that the oil is very dark.

It's true that it will need more frequent servicing but Ohlins has a clever compromise in their FGR's to have 2 separate oil compartments one for the piston/valves and other for the seal/fork tubes. That way the crud cannot interfere with the damping characteristics.

Some changes to the HRC ecu settings after my initial outing today on the full race bike.

I am running the stock quick shifter / blipper that came with the SP. I am using Spider rearsets from Ten Kate in the GP-shift pattern but the auto-blip feature was not enabled by default.

The throttle was very sensitive so I adjusted the anti-jerk and this worked great.

Last I changed the power modes with 3 being the least aggressive and 1 being the most

These settings all worked great but sadly my day ended after only three sessions due to a FLAT tire while at Buttonwillow...no tire service today and I didn't bring a spare rim

Hi,

I also have just mount HRC set ECU and harness and i can test in Barcelona during 2 days...but i just saw your shifter setting and i also have the standard shifter mount on the SP bike...and I selected 0 on "SP QUICKSHIFT" (1;on, 0;off ) and after 2 days it works perfectly...So when I saw your post I had a doubt and I verify on the manual...

Here what they say :

so I can understand that 1 is call SP but mean the strain QS HRC and 0 QS mount with the stock bike...

Maybe it work with the 2 selection but the settings more precise with the good one...

Wath do you think ?

whatever thank you for your feed back..I will test this week the anti jerk adjust with your values..

But i confirm...just changing good tire diameter, sprocket and shifter setting make this bike working perfectly...

The speed and power is really better...

Your assessment is correct. (y)
The strain gauge/load cell HRC Kit quick shifter works in a different voltage range to the stock Hall Sensor based stroke QS unit, so that switch (1:eek:n 0:eek:ff) is to tell the ECU what voltage range the quick shifter works in and which type of quick shifter is installed..

HRC refer to the the Kit strain quick shifter as the SP Quick shifter (1:eek:n) and the stock as the stroke type quick shifter (0:eek:ff).
