Serious vibrations 2008 Blade..

1370 Views 14 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  2008 RR
I am experiencing serious what seems to be engine vibrations on the right rear set peg and passenger peg and it is becoming increasingly annoying as my foot goes very numb after just 5 minutes. It is most profound from 5K rpm and above.

Does anyone know if:

1. This is common on this bike?
2. There is a fix to this that I should know about?

Stock
Anyone else?

Gonna try and talk to the dealer about this, but not optimistic as I am in Korea and the level of customer service when it comes to bikes by experience is a bit poor

I really need to get to the bottom of this as I don't think I can keep the bike if I don't fix it....it really is that bad.....
Swapped bikes with a friend on a gixxer K5 yesterday and the guy was all over the place about this vibration.

i get some vibrations on the right footpeg too, and my right foot goes numb after a while but i dont know if is that bad or not
do you ride on your toes?
What kind of shoes/boots/flip flops (j/k) do you ride in? Maybe some heavier duty riding boots my help to quell the vibration some.
same thing here, but i have an 07. right peg. vibes.. oh well.
Have you had the clutch recall done yet, it may be your clutch missing bits of plate and causing vibration. Get it looked at asap.

that could be possible on my bike but not on his, his bike is an 09, not clutch updated needed

Thanks 2008 RR.

Come to think about it, Diddy2003 did mention this in his review of the bike.

I'll check the VIN on my bike.....might not be there since I have a EU version ?
when i swapped over to the taylormade exhaust i noticed that the right footpeg would get vibration from time to time. not bad enough to make me go numb.

Yeah, I think those vins are for North America at best. In your case I would call either the local dealership or Honda customer service for your region.
