So how long DO you wait?

Just like the title says...how long is the proper time to wait before getting pissed off and calling someone out? I have seen several posts where people were flamed for callng someone out "too soon", so I am curious what the proper etiquite is for such. IMO, if you know someone has read your PM's or that they have logged on and visited the site since your last PM to them about the part(s) you ordered, and they simply neglect to at least send you a "thanks for payment" response, or a "kiss my a$$ sucker" response then you should be able to call them out right then and there. That is simply a lack of respect, and bad form imo. What do YOU think? :stirpot: :popcorn2:

Calling someone out too early can be entertaining for onlookers, but not cool for the person being called out.
give 'em 20 minutes
after that, raise hell

LoL no but seriously it depends on your comfort level with the buyer/seller
i never worry as long as lines of communication are open ... like good ol' RR used to say Trust, but Verify

The way I do business is if you pay me, I ship it that same day or the next due to time difference. I also include a confirmation PM with tracking info.

There is no excuse... if you pay for something, you shouldn't wait 2-3 days just for the seller to get off his ass and ship it out.

Call them out.
fuck 'em, round these parts, seems to be good business practices and no reason to accept less then that. If someone is giving you the run around and your paid, I'd say 2 days tops. Same goes with, "I'll buy dude" and they flake, if the goods are sold and they bitch then fuck 'em.
Give it two days then put 'em on blast.
Burn their house down.
Probably only doing them a favor in todays market!

It all depends on comunication... if they comunicate to you that there will be a delay then you can't really call them out unless more than a few days have passed but if they are not communicating to you that there will be a delay then call them out as soon as you are comfortable doing so.

exactly

keep it in PM's first. then after a day or 2 if its not resolved, blow his ass up in the open forum. but you have to give a chance before doing so.

oh, and us long timer's love fresh meat :D

what is it they have done except not return your PM?

What was the PM about?

Some people are very busy and i guess it depends on who it is. if the person is a newb and you feel they may have ripped you off and you PM then and they refuse to answer then i see you on that one> if they are a site sponsor, vendor, or long time member then maybe chill.

I have had people on ebay get pissed if i did not send them emails and calls EVERYday, WTF? I am all for helping out but paying for things and sitting impatient is a a lot easier then busting your arse doing whatever it is you are selling or making you see?

Pm a mod about it if it bothers you first b4 getting crazy on somebody if there is no need to

my 1 cent

I say if you have already paid and have not got anything in return in a few days...:boxing:
This is not about anyone or anything in particular...just a guide to see where everyone's expectations of communication are.
