I think it should be ok. My chain makes contact with the guide on stock sprockets.
sprocket change
so i changed the front and rear sprocket on my 09 CBR1000 (-1/+2) and re-installed the chain. My question is now the with the front being a bit smaller the chain seems to touch the chain guide a little bit tighter than with the stock sprockets. the tension is set at @1 1/2 inches on the chain. Naturally, the chain is guided down the chain guide on the swingarm, but is the steeper angle from the start of the chain guide to the front sprocket going to cause any other problems than excessive wear on the guide?
