Throttle Position Sensor (tps) '06

The TPS part number on my cbr is JT7H. This sensor is only sold by the Honda motorcycle dealer with the hole throttle body assembly ($1400ish). Looking around I see that the same part number is listed on the same year accord and element. Has anyone tried this before? A car TPS on a motorcycle? I mean it's a sensor, why sell me the hole thing?

Btw...
The reason I'm looking into it is that the bike only revs until 7000rpm and then turns on red light. The light shuts down after the engine rpm go down. I have no pinched fuel line, injectors are clean, new Spark plugs, clean air filter, the stand sensor is working ok, the stand spring is like new, all fuses are new and battery is new Only 15,000 miles.

The reason it's only sold as one assembly is because it's permanently (looks riveted?) calibrated to the throttle body at the factory. Best bet is to pick up a used throttle body assembly because unless you have a way to hook up a logging tool to the ECU and manually install the sensor when it's exactly zero degrees on the ECU you will not have accurate throttle position at low openings.

Hello,
I found your thread and I have the same problem as you and wonder if you solved your problem?
it might look a little weird with the spelling but I'm using Google translate 😇
