Rebuilding my right fork since it's been leaking. I'm replacing all the bushings and seals but not touching the damper assembly. Everything looks good except this thing coming out the oil lock valve. Is the damper toast? I think I blew out the seal when over-tightening the strap when towing it last year. Could be how this got messed up too. The bike was wrecked and supposedly the forks were replaced. Who knows. Before I put this back together I'd like to know if I need a new damper assembly. The left fork is fine btw.

I would need to see more of it to make a proper disposition, but shooting from the hip - If that were mine I would remove the hyd lock and assess how much damage is done and then likely re-install the cart without the lock. I remove them on most of the OEM carts during a re-work anyway to get all the travel allowed.
