thanks for all your help guys.... will be picking up my 1000rr next week...

first mod of the day.... LP USA flush mounts & rear short stalk kit.

second, V2 Speedscreen dark tint windscreen

third, frame sliders...... (any input???)

thinking about the aftermarket exhaust (maybe 2bros..like their sound)

because this bike is new (no seat time yet..) does the seat get really hot with the stock underseat exhaust? any tips on keeping things cool?
planning long trips (Americade, etc..) and don't want to cook during the ride.... how hot does it get?????

The seat doesn't really seem to suffer any from the temp., but my tail light gets REALLY hot. Touching it actually burns my hand. I have no heat shield on it and am hoping for the best. I'd really hate to look at it after a ride to find it all warped...lol!!

The seat stays cool but I notice that my right foot around the ankle area gets a lil warm and that's right where the heat shield for the mid pipe is...

The heat is never noticable from the seat. I do get alittle heat by my rt ankle. Other than that I only noticed my house keys where warm/hot whne I took them outta the trunk("trunk" :lol2: ). I am going to run the two bros exhaust with the carbon fiber can. This should bring the heat down alittle.
