IMO the USA fender eliminators are the best because you can fit the registration plate right back in the swing arm leaving the undertail clean, and they have built in LED turn signals.

But as im ordering internationally i want to get it right so which one do you think is the best?

the pic is CBR Heaven USA

JMHO, fender eliminators suck dogs balls..........

The idea of a fender is to stop your sticky tyres from throwing up rocks onto following vehicles............

Take that away and you get this..................

Yeah it looks good but if you ride bikes for the loook, you are a tosser :stirpot:

Yes the Bikelitez seems to have a nice finish, the only chritisism id have is the LED turn signals seem tiny.

Thanks for the reference though

PiJiL - I think your getting confusing a fender eliminator with No Rear Hugger
You think too much

No mate I mean the original fender sits at a 45degree angle to the axle and deflects objects from behind the vehicle.

I've gotten a few rock chips from following riders close, but what size stone caused that!!!:eek:wned:
Please explain to me how that fender would have stopped the boulder that destroyed your front end?

I have the Tripage kit and love it! Great stuff at a good price, the tag light is in the tag bracket, very cool!

No shit.
Ant, does it have to mount near the rear shock?

I went on the Tripage site and couldnt find one for our 08 bike, ill look again

diddy2003 - I like the plate near the rear shock because it leaves the undertail clean. R&G (& other local companies) do good tail tidys but they mount the plate and indicators in the same place as stock, just higher.
I cant speak for the others but R&G do place their tail light where the original is meant to be to make them a lawful replacement for the OEM hanger, most countries would not allow the plate to be so far back as the speed cameras are unable to see the plate properly therefore making the plate illegal and thus no point having it on the bike (fines in the UK/Europe for that stuff).

Russ
Deathrace - 1st, thanks for posting that CBR Manual download.

So do you think its a big issue having the plate that far back in the UK?
Ive got and had 7"x5" standard looking plates over the past few years cos its harder to read and the cops have never pulled me for it. But if they are going to start targeting me for the plate being near the shock then it aint worth it.
Ant:

I have a 5x7 on the back of mine with the R&G and its borderline where i live in norfolk, theres a couple of rozzers that just take the piss and pull anyone for anything but I have been pretty lucky, theres a chap in the midlands that has the *** packet type number plate on his blade and the coppers round his way havent stopped him yet.

In the last few months there has been more of a clamp down on bikers than any year previous also add to that the introduction of a new specs camera that does front and rear (specifically for motorbikes) they are trying to cover all aspects, the fines at the moment for the plate is £30 once things move along you can bet they will start implementing points for it and if you get caught on camera with the plate as far forward as the yanks have them they will investigate your leathers, helmet, your routine and such like until they find you.

When they do find you the penalties are far greater than just taking the 3 points and 60 quid fine (if you were caught speeding) as you then have to pay back investigation costs and your possibly looking at 6 points/ban and a hefty fine depending on the initial reason for them tracking you down.

To me personally I would love the sleek tail and no plate look but alas I am not going to totally take the piss with the old bill I take it on the chin for the plate if they do stop me as it is but I am not going to purposely try and hide the plate, if I wanted that I would just track the blade and not road ride.

Regarding the manual I hope its of use :)

If the law states that the plate should be at the back of the bike then putting it all the way near the shock is taking the piss and ill be inviting unwanted attention.

So i think ill take your advice and order the R&G, but i dont think i will run the indicators there, ill research into getting LED's to fit in that little recess.

cheers

Sorry to hijack the thread - the indicators are the only downside to the arse end on mine but I am trying to find a good video showing the clear alternatives replacement rear light with built in indicators all the ones I have seen seem to think that putting the flashers on without pulling the brake light (to see if it drowns the light out) is acceptable.

If anyone on here has the CA installed could you do me a video of the lights on and the flashers with the brake light active, thanks.

No Way! ha ha ha, ive just got off the phone and ordered the R&G tail with an LED brake light & turn signal.
