Hey guys,

this is more for interest then actual doing. My buddy bought an 08 zx10r with a full akra exhaust and PC3. I was wondering what I would have to do to my completely stock 06 1000rr to match power or come close?

I know there is the obvious stuff like an exhaust/pc3/zbomb how close would that get it or what else could be done?

Honestly, it probably wont happen....but you could try to get a sprocket kit, an intake, filters, what you said, and think about some headwork and lighter wheels.

It's gonna cost you a ton to get very close to that ZX10 with simple mods. I suggest just being happy with what you got, investing in some class/track time, puting on some good tires, setting up your suspension, and killing him in the twisties.
Yeah I should of mentioned I am happy with what I got! It's an awesome bike. I told him not to be surprised if he sees an 08/09 1krr one day in the garage haha.

and I'm just looking for a suit so I can hit the track! woo
Yea, if you are going to the track, learning to ride will be your best bet. If you just want a dyno showdown you have your work cut out for you.
So what if your friend's bike has 10-15 more hp. If you can outride him it doesn't matter, plus you can point out the fact that your bike is stock. Learn to ride.
its more up to how well you can ride it than how fast it actually is, on highway pulls ive beaten bikes that overpowered mine bigtime but an inexperienced rider made the difference.
case in point google "peter lenz" and see what he was doing on 30hp bikes on the track

nice!

I was readin that in some of the books of a guy with a bike with 20 less hp and keepin up. I'm pumped to hit the track as soon as the weather turns around here and see what this thing is made of!
Thanks boys
