I've heard of a couple of people who already have deposits down waiting for their 1000RR - have you placed a deposit yet?

Has anyone heard an approximate price? I was assuming around the $10,599 mark. How close do you think I am?
mcobb533,
I think that will be about right. If you look at the traditonal price of 1000s, that is pretty much right on point.
deposit

i do, i do!!!
i was quoted $14,199 cdn, or less if msrp is lower, or other local dealers are selling for less. i put a deposit down last weekend...
no need for a deposit. my word is good enough at the dealership i buy from.
i think i'll keep my RC a few more years...
i plan on keeping mine...i've always dreamed of joining the 'multiple bike club' and hopefully i can pull it off (despite the increases in insurance!).

i am planning on going with it or the new r1. hopefully keeping my 600rr for track duty. I get to finally witness the r1 next week at the motorcycle show.
I've got the 600RR now. I went ahead and told my local dealer to put my name on the first one today. He said that the first allocation/order was suppose to be next week, but the Honda rep called and said it would be later, there was a delay of some sort.

I don't know if this will affect the release date of the bike, I would think that it would.

I told him to order me a black one. My 600RR is Red.
I saw on a show about the International Motorcycle Show yesterday on "Spike" that the MSRP is $10,999.
my dealer should go down about 10500otd ....i would be happy. lower would be the better but then again. I'm still open , R1 or 1000RR. i should get both to shut me up if only i got that extra geez lol
I am trying to make a deal trading in my 03 ZX12R.

Dealer told me that they have several deposits on R1's and ZX10's but no deposits on the 1000RR

Trying to decide if the loss on the 12R is going to be worth it.
1000RR prices

My local dealers haven't gotten an official price yet. Chicago Cycle Center is already advertising "Was $10,895 Sale $9495." I called, & their out the door price is $10,300.

That is for the 1000RR. Price including assembly, shipping, etc.; not including tax, title, or license.
Got my deposit in last October when I first heard the official word from Honda. :bounce: Supposedly, I am to receive mine the week after Daytona. We'll see if that is the case. I have already ordered the bodywork and am looking at all of the goodies to get the thing ready for the race season. :D

I hope to have it ready for the first race of the year here in the Pacific Northwest wich is in April 2nd.

Can't wait! Cheers!
Dealer called me today..........they want $4000 plus my 03 ZX12r

NOT!!!!!

Trade in out of the Question. I guess I'm going to have to try and sell outright.

I hate the thought of someone coming to look at it and want to do a test drive.
