I know I have read of some of you guys that had previous wrist pain and lowered the bars to help fix it... I am looking for some more exact information....such as:

1. Which bolts were loosened to move the bars down?
2. How much farther down - aprox did you lower them?
3. Does this affect anything else? Such as steering....max turn..etc.

Thanks for all the help from a "Newbie" to the forum and the CBR 1000!
Sure but you can't be certain that just lowering the bars will help. If you have carpal tunnel you will just torture yourself longer. Rather go get it checked.

I put helibars on my 2008. Made the bike much more comfortable for me. I am prone to back pain, so there is only so much that "use your torso to hold yourself up, not your wrists" that I could do. The helibars move the bars up like 1.75". Looking at the bike it is not hardly noticeable. When you ride it, you just think "wow, this is comfortable". If you are not a track warrior that really needs the low grips, i would highly recommend it.
