Anyone ever bought an aftermarket one that actually works? Mine didn't come with the OEM spanner wrench.

I've been searching on here to see if anyone else has had success in finding an aftermarket one.

I know CycleGear sells this one, but wanted to know if anyone has ever bought one and used it successfully? My rear shock needs adjusting since my front forks have been dialed in.

Wanted to tighten up my pre-load in a pinch and didn't have anything yesterday.

Used a buddy's oil filter pliers.

It worked, but spanner would be better.

Did it from the exhaust side after removing the fmf apex muffler with bike up on rear stand.

Mine didn't come with the tool kit either which I told ny dealer I bought the bike from and my salesman was really awesome put together the tools that SHOULD have come with the bike. But anyway do yourself a favor and get the Honda one. It makes working on the bike a breeze.

if you are looking to get more than a full turn on the collar, and you have the oem shock, its faster to pull the shock, adjust the collar one turn, put it back on the bike and remeasure. once you remeasure you will be able to see how much your preload changes with one full turn. pull the shock back off and adjust where it needs to be then re-install.

sucks but it is what it is with our bike.
