Thought i'd share my supermoto track bike for those of you who are interested. I strongly recommend doing a few supermoto track days to learn how to REALLY ride fast. Even if it's just a little xr100! Enjoy the pics!
Like a dream. I'm guessing i'd be faster on this than my RR around a technical track... Xtrig adjustable triple tree is on the way!Looks great. How does she handle?
Never owned or rode a dirtbike before last summer. I work at a Honda shop so I can trade it out pretty easilyAwesome bike. I have a built 05 250r for the dirt. I wanna build a 450 super moto. Why did you go with the 250?
It took me long enough to get off the xr100 and move to the 250 haha. 450 for next year is in the plans!SUPER CLEAN.
Too clean to ride.
Only thing that would make it better: A 450 engine!

If I must... Hahaha. :th_salute:
Like this? :thumbsup:Service Honda Home of the CR500AFinstead of trading bikes and moving to a 450, you should just swap a CR500 motor in that chasis. THEN, you would be having some serious fun.![]()
Ronnie Mac... Love that guy! :gay:cool bike man...... i like the 'no brakes' decal...... reminds me of that guy Ronnie Mac on youtube talkin about no brakes................

100% Truth! Also, I will admit that I felt more stable and safe riding the supermoto full out then riding this CBR at half it's top. It made me an instant hooligan. If you want to feel like a kid again, then a supermoto is for you.
Spot on, Bob. I race in the FIM/AMA North America Supermoto Championship series and we just had a race in New Hampshire where we were hitting 110 mph on the back straight. There is NO feeling that compares to sliding into a hairpin, backing it in at 100+mph! Most fun thing i've ever done on two wheels... Don't get me wrong, 185 mph on the CBR is pretty exhilarating, but I still have more fun doing 65 mph on the 'tard!I have told people that before and they mock me, but unless they have tried it they just don't get it. A supermoto's power delivery is crazy awesome fun. As I explain it, it is instant on and off power. It revs so fast it is insane. Unlike a sportbike (i.e. CBR) where there is a slight hesitation before the power kicks in because it has to get to the meat of his rev range (5k+), not so with a supermoto (aka dirtbike). It kicks in immediately so you better be prepared to hold on and do your best to keep that front wheel down.
I had mine geared a little too much (13T/44T), for street use it should be more like 15T/45T or 14T/42T, which comes out to the 3:1 ratio. But I will say it was a handful at the gearing on had it at and it sure made every, every single ride exciting. It made me pay attention at all times. No cruising on supermotos. They are meant to run.
I love watching the SuperRetards youtube videos. Man, I would be in so much trouble if I ran with those guys. LOL
Dang it...now I really, REALLY miss my supermoto. :-(
She did fine running AROUND 110mph down Loudon's straightaway for a few seconds at a timeGot linked to this thread by cbr1000_repsol_wfo...
This is one sick bike. I have had a slight urge to convert something into a supermoto and this only convinces me more. I'd like mine to be street legal, however, so I'm thinking a 450X or 250X might be better since it was built with a headlight. Thinking that would allow me to keep the OEM stator, but I could be mistaken. Plus electric start and slightly less maintenance would not hurt. Any qualms with a carb'd machine?
I know you track this bike, but how is the 250 at highway speeds? 65-70mph. Do you think it could handle it for extended periods of time? Whatever I end up with I would like to be able to drive it on the highway for about an hour or more as I have buddies who are scattered about.
Anyways, props dude. Came out really nice.
