I had a good experience with Auctmarts. The fit was not perfect and took some work, but the plastics look fantastic - the paint job was very good.

A buddy of mine bought a Matte Black Auctmarts set for his 2006 CBR1k and I helped him install it. Not bad, not perfect, but not bad considering the price. Had to drill out some of the holes as they seemed to be oval instead of circle shaped. No melting issues, but he installed heat shielding (he beats the piss out of it too). There is only one coat of paint on them and will wear through to the pastic easily if they are scratched. You get what you pay for though, if you want perfection drop the $3k or whatever for factory . The matte is not clear coated (duh) so waxing, polishing or drying with a towel WILL cause shiny spots. Thats not Auctmarts fault, that's yours for not knowing how to care for a matte finish.

BASICLY ITS A GAMBLE I HAVE BEEN THREW MANY AUTMARTS FAIRINGS AN I FEEL SOME ARE GOOD AND SOME ARE BAD, i have had the konica minolta fairings they were ok, the "black west plastics witch i felt were stronger than oem fairings but i did keep the oem lowers on for melting reasons, and the red bull plastics that were trash, the tank fairing didnt even fit around the gas cap it had to over lap the gas cap, basicly some times u just gotta go oem!

Do they sell on ebay also?
Speaking of eBarf, don't buy anything from the Chinese or Hong Kong vendors. if it's the wrong part or something is wrong, it'll cost you a fortune to ship it back! I got a nice fairing there but they sent me 2 and charged me for two. To get the $275 refund, I have to spend $275 in shipping to return it! And the fairings they sell are good quality ABS, decals and paint all good but they fit like the proverbial Chinese puzzle! Trying to get everything to fit is impossible and if you do, you can never get anything off without the whole thing exploding apart from the tension you got it together with!

Stay with American stuff- it's easier to get refund or shipping there.

Lol, you seem to like BROAD generalizations. A lot of the US stuff comes from China, and a lot of people have had great experiences with Chinese stuff.

Next time try using specific examples, not some continent wide generalization.

Beware of "Nay Sayers" on the internet that will say anything without backup.

I've had two sets from Auctmarts. Both were great, especially for the price.

Hey itsme....can't wait to see your fairings mounted. Haven't seen that design. Did you do a custom arrangement? Looks nice.

Honestly speaking, unless the OEM fairing. All the good quality aftermarket fairing kit is come from China. Even the local sellers, they import it from China as well.

The paint very depends on the worker's experience and the QC. I have no comment.
But the fitment, you need to know there are two production method : Compression molds and Injection molds.
Actually, the injection molds production method is same as the OEM. The fitment almost 100% fit.
And the compression molds also good for the old model (Sometimes new model not so good.....), but you need to modification and adjusted the position before you put the bolt on, like drilling and cutting when necessary

And some model only have injection molds and some only have compression. Common models normally have both on the market. Depends on the resellers' selling strategy

The price normally can reflect the which method they use for the production. And you can ask before you buy it. And you can see the difference on the connector.

But even a good fit fairing kit, it still take around 4 - 6 hours by professional installer

Injection molds connector example:

I just ordered some from china thru ifairings.com
They responded to my emails and questions very quickly and informatively. Custom design I sent them a picture they are giving me details on the order every step of the way even sent me pics of the fairings while painting to make sure the color was what I wanted. Overall satisfied with my buying expirence and customer service with them as some the Chinese suppliers are very hard to communicate and work with. Fairings won't be here for about a week but will let u know quality and fitment when they arrive. Wish me luck lol

MotoFansClub was a good choice for me, bought two kits from them and the fit was great! It was for my CBR600RR when I had it!

They use Injection Mold method!

I had a bad experience with AUCTMARTS.

I bought HRC fairing for my CBR 1000 RR 2008-2011.
The quality is an approx fairing with the paint that shows imperfections all over.
The worst was the assembling. Two of the right side fairing joints jumped off and I had to drill new holes to place two ergal bolts just to keep it assembled.
However in general all the joints are in bad shapes.
The black plastics do not match for example the one under the lights that looks really bad.

The answer from the vendor was: there is no warrenty on plastics.
Completely out of mind considering that he sold me plastics.

Because in this forum can be read different experience with this seller, it's easy to understand that AUCTMARTS is nothing else than an internet site and that the job is commissioned to 3rd vendors according the occurrence. The luckiest one can enjoy a really nice fairing, the others unfortunately not.
