You may want to try wiring off of the fan relays.
This kit does that:

This will turn both fans on when you flip the switch.

Also, the green wire is probably the ground wire for the fan. The solid green wires tend to be grounds on Honda's (at least the 08). Try hooking up to the other wire.

Ive not done this mod on my 08 blade yet but i have on other bikes.

Normally we run a switch straight off the radiator heat sensor. The heat sensor works by connecting a circuit when it heats and expands, som we put a switch on it.

My 08 blade radiator fan doesnt kick in till 110+, so im going to fit a switch for waiting in traffic. Still need to find it though

 

Did this on a 636 once and if its the same this is what I did...I know on my f4i it is not like this had to do it different but maybe the 1krr is the same

Like this the fan will kick on by itself at temp and also allow you to turn it on with switch

 

Yep thats what i did on my GSXR stunt bike.

No doubt the CBR fan runs off the ECU or something overly complex, "HONDA!".

 

I got it! I was going about it totally wrong. It really was too easy.

Mounted the toggles on a nice carbon fiber panel MRGRN made for me too.
